RAWW celebrates women who demonstrate leadership, compassion, commitment and meaningful positive impact — particularly those whose work deserves greater visibility.
These categories are not exhaustive. RAWW particularly wants to discover women whose work deserves greater visibility.
Women do not necessarily need to be founders of organisations.
They might be creating change in ways that do not fit conventional titles. Leadership and impact matter more than status or fame.
Altruism is at the heart of RAWW.
For RAWW, altruism means acting with genuine concern for the wellbeing of others and using one's abilities, time, leadership or resources to create positive change beyond oneself.
It can mean protecting an animal that cannot protect itself, dedicating a career to conservation, improving opportunities for a community, advocating for those without a voice, sharing knowledge, solving an overlooked problem or committing years of one's life to making something better.
RAWW celebrates women whose actions demonstrate that spirit — recognising, too, that doing good and finding personal meaning in it are not at odds.
