To recognise, celebrate and amplify altruistic women whose work is creating a better world.
Remarkable women are working across countries, cultures and communities.
They protect animals, care for people, defend the natural world, improve communities and address problems that matter. Some receive international recognition.
Many don't.
RAWW wants to help close that visibility gap. We use storytelling, interviews and digital media to introduce these women to a wider audience, celebrate what they have achieved and help more people discover the causes they dedicate themselves to.
Recognition is not simply about praise. Greater visibility helps important work reach new supporters, volunteers, collaborators, donors and communities.
Our role begins with recognition, but our ambition goes further.
RAWW exists not only to recognise extraordinary women, but to help amplify the causes they have dedicated themselves to. Sharing a woman's story can create awareness — but we want that awareness to have the potential to become something more.
Where appropriate, RAWW will help connect our community with meaningful ways to support the women we feature and the work they lead — whether by sharing their mission, following their work, volunteering, contributing to verified fundraising initiatives, supporting their organisations, or simply helping their story reach someone new.
As RAWW grows, we hope to explore new ways to support the women and causes we recognise — through collaboration, partnerships, awareness campaigns and other opportunities that help extend the impact of their work.
We want more women doing extraordinary good to be seen, heard and supported.
The human story behind the work.
Where possible, RAWW will speak directly with the women being featured so that their voices and experiences remain central to their stories. The aim is not simply to write about women — it is to give women a platform to tell their stories.
